3 minutes. Goal – 1:0! Following a Luiz Adriano shot the ball hit John Terry, and bounced to Teixeira who sent the ball past Cech to put Shakhtar in front!
9 minutes. Rakitskiy was fouled on by Torres.
14 minutes. Fernandinho fired a shot from distance but the ball flew wide.
16 minutes. Willian cut inside before striking the ball over the crossbar!
19 minutes. Ramires played a through ball to Oscar who darted into Shakhtar’s penalty area, but Andriy Pyatov rushed out of the goal to clear the danger.
22 minutes. Ashley Cole was booked for showing dissent.
23 minutes. Willian skipped past Ivanovic and took a curling shot, only for Cech to save it.
26 minutes. Pyatov denied Torres a goalscoring opportunity before Shakhtar orchestrated a fast counterattack but Mkhitaryan’s pass was intercepted by the opposing defender.
29 minutes. Teixeira passed the ball to Mkhitaryan who had been left unmarked. Henrikh took a shot from outside the penalty area but the opposing keeper saved it.
35 minutes. Kucher brilliantly won an aerial challenge against Oscar following a Mata cross.
38 minutes. Cech turned the ball around the crossbar after a Mkhitaryan shot!
40 minutes. Petr Cech made a fine save after keeping out a Hubschman effort from point blank range!
50 minutes. Hazard passed the ball to Mata who fired the ball over the crossbar from the edge of the penalty box.
52 minutes. Goal – 2:0! Fernandinho dispossessed Hazard before passing the ball to Adriano whose return pass put Ferna through on goal to plant the Pitmen’s second goal into the far corner of the net!
57 minutes. Pyatov fisted the ball away for a corner following a Ramires powerful effort.
60 minutes. Chelsea’s defender cleared the ball from the penalty box before Fernandinho unleashed a low shot goalwards. The ball went just wide of the post.
67 minutes. Oleksandr Kucher was awarded a yellow card for a foul on Hazard.
68 minutes. John Obi Mikel saw his strike flying into the stands!
71 minutes. Mkhitaryan had his effort parried away for a corner by Chelsea’s goalkeeper.
74 minutes. Shakhtar’s attacking move including Srna, Teixeira and Mkhitaryan resulted in Mkhitaryan’s shot that was saved by Cech.
79 minutes. Rakitskiy delivered a cross to the far post for Adriano before the ball bounced to Hubschman who sent his strike just wide of the post!
80 minutes. David Luiz received a yellow card for a foul on Willian in the middle of the pitch.
82 minutes. Alex Teixeira was replaced by Ilsinho.
86 minutes. Hubschman received a yellow card for a foul on Ramires. 88 minutes. Douglas Costa came on for Willian.
88 minutes. Goal – 2:1. Ivanovic made a run down the right flank before drilling a cross for Oscar to tap the ball home.
90 minutes. Ilsinho passed the ball to Mkhitaryan who again saw his shot saved by Cech.
90+3 minutes. Shakhtar’s final whistle signalled Shakhtar’s win! The Pitmen got the better of Chelsea to top Group E!
